CONNECTING...

So much about what we do at camp is about connecting. Each week, we strive to help camper's connect with their faith, God, creation and each other. Through the spirit moving, these connections happen all week in their experiences at camp.

However, our job would not be complete if we did not help connect the camp experience to the world the camper's return to at the end of the week. Our hope is to show them a community, relationships and ways to live out their faith that are possible every step of their journey.

One way we are hoping to try to do this is through this blog. Throughout the week, we will be posting the happenings of camp, devotions on the daily themes that the campers are learning about in bible study, pictures and words from the campers about their experiences at camp. We hope this avenue will help connect families, community and congregational members to the experience the campers are having each week. We hope to help give you some "camp language" so it only enhances your conversations with campers after the camp week has concluded. We hope you ask the campers about their experiences so that they can continue to live it out even when they get home. We want the camp experience to become more than a week journey and instead a piece of who they become as people of faith everyday.

We are so blessed to be in the ministry of relationships and connecting, we hope you will join us in our journey this summer at camp and become connected yourself.
